Check List

Use Check List lines to track operational tasks that must be completed for a Forwarding Order.

A checklist is useful when the team needs a visible task list for customs checks, customer approvals, carrier confirmation, document review, finance review, or internal handoff.

Before you start

Make sure that:

  • the Forwarding Order exists,
  • users know which tasks are mandatory for the process,
  • status controls are configured if task completion affects status movement.

How to work with checklist lines

  1. Open the Forwarding Order.
  2. Open Check List.
  3. Add a line for each task.
  4. Assign the responsible user or team if your process uses ownership.
  5. Fill due dates when the task is time sensitive.
  6. Mark the task complete when the work is done.
  7. Review incomplete tasks before posting or closing the job.

Fields that matter most

Field Why it matters
Description Tells the user what must be done.
Responsible User Shows who owns the task.
Due Date Helps operations follow time-sensitive steps.
Completed Shows whether the task is done.
Completed By / Completed At Supports audit review when available.

Good to know

  • Checklist lines are operational controls. They do not replace required attachment checks.
  • Use consistent task names so users can scan the list quickly.
  • Keep the checklist short. Long lists stop being useful in daily work.
