Check List
Use Check List lines to track operational tasks that must be completed for a Forwarding Order.
A checklist is useful when the team needs a visible task list for customs checks, customer approvals, carrier confirmation, document review, finance review, or internal handoff.
Before you start
Make sure that:
- the Forwarding Order exists,
- users know which tasks are mandatory for the process,
- status controls are configured if task completion affects status movement.
How to work with checklist lines
- Open the Forwarding Order.
- Open Check List.
- Add a line for each task.
- Assign the responsible user or team if your process uses ownership.
- Fill due dates when the task is time sensitive.
- Mark the task complete when the work is done.
- Review incomplete tasks before posting or closing the job.
Fields that matter most
| Field | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Description | Tells the user what must be done. |
| Responsible User | Shows who owns the task. |
| Due Date | Helps operations follow time-sensitive steps. |
| Completed | Shows whether the task is done. |
| Completed By / Completed At | Supports audit review when available. |
Good to know
- Checklist lines are operational controls. They do not replace required attachment checks.
- Use consistent task names so users can scan the list quickly.
- Keep the checklist short. Long lists stop being useful in daily work.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| A task is not visible | Check filters on the checklist page. |
| User cannot mark a task complete | Check permissions and whether the document status allows changes. |
| Posting is blocked even though tasks are done | Review status controls, attachment requirements, and settlement posting rules. |
